April Was an Eternity Ago…

Remember this one Yankees fans?

This was my first experience at the new Yankee Stadium. A 22-4 loss to the Indians (a team which had Mark DeRosa, Cliff Lee, and Victor Martinez) on April 18th, the first home Saturday game of the year, in front of a 1/2 full stadium on Fox Saturday Baseball. At the time, the team and the new stadium all came under fire.

Four months later, the New Yankee Stadium is making money hand over fist, despite only selling out 5 games all season (I think it’s 5 or 6), and the Yankees are running away with the best record in baseball with a chance at being 40 games over .500 heading in to September with a jaw dropping 43-20 record at The New House.

As is a running theme here at No Whammies Sports during baseball season. It is a very very very very very long baseball season.

Jah Bless.
