One of the least exciting divisions in baseball the past few years…
1. Anahiem Angels (92 wins)
These guys never fall off. This season, expect more of Angels’ ball. Aggressive, aggressive, aggressive. They can use a breakout year for Kendry Morales, and Bobby Abreu will need to pick up some slack for a quickly aging (literally, he aged 2 years in 1 year), Vladimir Guerrero.
2. Texas Rangers (84 wins)
A deadly line-up should help carry them and their animeic pitching staff.
3. Oakland Athletics (81 wins)
They have one of the most interesting lineups going into 2009. But the pitching is beyond inexperience. Going to be lot of growing pains for a VERY young staff. And this team will run through about 30+ different revilers over the course of this season.
4. Seattle Mariners (73 wins)
Going into last season, the M’s were a 90 game winner on paper. What ensued was one of the worst baseball teams that we’ve seen in years. The good news is that last season the team was so bad, it’s almost impossible not to improve.
